Biblical Garden
Local name: Ogród Biblijny
The Bible Garden in Stara Wieś was founded at the College of Jesuit Fathers. It is a vast area stretching around a historic Baroque-style building, where the scenes in the Bible are arranged. A 9-meter observation tower has been set here to admire the panorama of the area.
During walking the garden alleys you can see, among others. A group of sculptures depicting the figures of Adam and Eve together with a tree of knowledge of good and evil. There are also large concrete mock-ups of biblical sites: Sinai, Jerusalem or Bethlehem, stone plaques with engraved quotes, and a Christmas grotto with a star.
Plans are planted trees, also unusual for our climate, such as olive trees or palm trees. The garden is an attraction for pilgrims arriving here. It is to encourage walking, focusing and quiet.
