The medieval tower of Cedynia, looking like a medieval tower, was actually built only in 1895. It was created as a monument commemorating the inhabitants of the city who died during the Prussian wars with Denmark, Austria and France. Formerly in the lower part of it was a table with the names of the victims, but in 1945 they were destroyed.
The four-meter tower is an architectural dominant. At the beginning of 1945 served the Red Army as an observation point. Later it belonged to the Border Patrol Army and was later restored and made available to the public. Being on the tower you can admire the outward-looking landscape of the city, the view of the Żuławy Cadyńskie and the outback of the German side.
