The Town Hall in Chojna is one of the most beautiful and magnificent buildings of this type in Poland. Its history dates back to the fourteenth century. At present, it houses a cultural center and a municipal library. In addition, in the basement there is a restaurant "Rycerska".
The building impresses with its lace-topped peaks and blends, rosettes and cornices. All these decorations make it one of the most beautiful examples of gothic art. Particular attention is deserved by the elevation of the gable, which was vertically divided. The town hall was built on a rectangular plan and topped with a double-pitched roof.
The building was built in Gothic-Baroque style. It was rebuilt twice. It was destroyed at the end of World War II and then rebuilt. Formerly, there were court rooms in the building and then the town hall was the seat of the authorities.
