Polish Land Forces Museum

Local name: Muzeum Wojsk Lądowych

The museum has one of the largest military collections. A permanent exhibition entitled "From Cedynia to Karbala" presents the history of the formation of land forces since the Battle of Cedynia in 972 until modern times.

A collection of weapons, military equipment, uniforms, as well as models of warriors, knights, hussars, musketeers, pikemen, and soldiers is presented in display cases. The exhibits are shown in almost realistic arrangements of battlefields known from history.

The collection includes many unique pieces of weapons and other exhibits, and the whole is complemented by sound and multimedia presentations that allow learning of the history of fighting land forces in more detail.

The unique and extremely big collection is comprised of many valuable exhibits, among which are real gems, like the only British tank in Poland - Chieftain Mk 11, wheeled armored personnel carrier Skot R3M or the American self-propelled howitzer M109.
