The Borówiec model is the largest railway model in Poland. Presenting landscapes of entire Europe, it consists of several dozen trains and also planes flying above them. It is located in Borówiec near Kórnik.
The construction of the model started at the beginning of the 21st century. It is frequently extended with new locations and trains as well. It has over 1,5 km railway tracks used by various train compositions in 1:87 scale. Locomotives make sounds while steam locomotives release smoke from chimneys. The model faithfully reflects reality.
Apart from the trains, there are also planes and cars. The whole is digitally controlled and trains are going according to the schedule. The controlled lighted airport was constructed next to the model.
