ROTTERDAMNetherlands
Church of St. Lawrence
Local name: Laurenskerk
Dating from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, the temple is the only late-Gothic building in Rotterdam that survived the bombing during World War II. Inside, many wonderful tombs and works of art have been preserved. You can also see the model of the De Liefde sailing ship - the first European vessel that reached Japan in 1600.
