Local name: Nationaal Monument
A 22-meter concrete pole covered with white travertine was erected in 1956 to commemorate the victims of World War II. The column designed by JJP Oud is decorated with allegorical sculptures by John Rädecker and his sons, as well as reliefs by Paweł Grégoire. The semicircular wall contains urns with soil from execution areas and war cemeteries.
