Fo Guang Shan Holland Temple

He Hua is the largest Buddhist temple in Europe. Guided tours are organized for tourists. One should enter through one of the smaller gates, because the main gate is reserved for monks. The interior is richly decorated. You can see here the statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and the chapel dedicated to the Buddha. The building represents the style characteristic of Chinese temples.
There are two types of trips on offer. Basic takes about 45 minutes. Visitors will learn the rules of Buddhism and the symbolism of individual elements of the temple. The extended version includes a quarter of an hour of meditation. The temple also organizes various activities and activities, including workshops on Chinese calligraphy.
The temple was officially opened by Queen Beatrix on September 15, 2000. It is one of the many branches of the Buddhist order of Fo Guang Shan, whose temples and monasteries are located all over the world.
