Body Worlds Amsterdam
Local name: Body Worlds Amsterdam
The exhibition presents the reasons for happiness and its impact on the human body. Over 200 human bodies transformed into exhibits show visitors the complexity, immunity and susceptibility of the human body to influences and diseases as well as the functioning of organs.
The author of the exhibition, which caused a lot of controversy in the world, is dr. Gunther von Hagens. It uses a plastination method in which body fluids replace a type of silicone rubber, and the human body is deprived of skin. Thanks to this, visitors can learn about human anatomy.
The exhibits stand in various active positions, which allows you to see which muscles and parts of the body are involved in each motor activity.
The exhibition is enriched with visualization elements that help to understand advanced chemical processes occurring in the body.
The exhibition is housed in a historic building and covers 6 floors.
