The temple belonging to the Jesuit order was designed by Domenico Rossi. The famous painting of Titian entitled Martyrdom of St. Wawrzyniec can be found in this Roman Catholic church. Richly decorated with white and green marble and gold and white stucco, the interior creates a unique composition in the scale of all Venetian architecture of the 18th century.
Inside the church there are numerous sculptures, e.g. Matthew the Evangelist, Saint. Paweł, Saint. Peter, Saint. James the Great and three archangels. In addition, there is also a painting by Giuseppe Torretti of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The ceilings are decorated with frescoes made by Francesco Fontebasso and Ludovico Dorgina. The main altar was designed by Giuseppe Pozzo and dedicated to the Holy Trinity. In its central place was placed intricately decorated lapis lazuli tabernacle. The whole strictly corresponds to the architectural canons of Jesuit churches. You can also find here the oldest monument of the patrician family from the 16th century in the whole of Venice.
In addition, in the side naves there are chapels dedicated to St. To Józef, Saint. Francis Saveiro, Saint. Ignacy Loyola, Saint. Barbara, Guardian Angel, as well as the chapel of three Jesuits.
