Sciacca is a city in Sicily that has yet to be known by mass tourism. It has everything you need to become a fashionable resort, beaches, thermal baths, unusual places worth visiting, and now also peace that allows you to relax away from the hustle and bustle.

Sciacca thermal baths were already known in Roman times. They were located at the Grottoes of San Calogero. To this day, there is a thermal swimming pool that uses water with a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. The thermal baths are located on top of Monte Kronio, which is the highest point in the area and offers beautiful views of the city.

The Old Town of Sciacca is a testimony to the history of Sciacca. Its most important point is the Luna Castle, which dates back to the 14th century. Around it there is a tangle of narrow streets, small squares and high tenement houses with colorful facades. The Old Town is surrounded by the remains of the city walls with well-preserved gates.

There is a fishing port on the seashore, and right next to it is one of the largest fish markets in Sicily. It is used by, among others surrounding restaurants and bars serving fish and seafood dishes. An unusual attraction of Sciacca is the Enchanted Castle. Its author is Filipo Bentivegne, who carved over 3,000 structures in stone and trunks of olive trees, integrated into Mediterranean vegetation. The city also has a Carnival Museum with a collection of masks and disguises used during processions.

The beach at Sciacca is quite narrow. It is covered with coarse sand and gravel, and rocky cliffs rise above it. It is a perfect place for a quiet vacation due to the lack of crowds, even in high season.
