The villa was built in the 17th century in a place where in ancient times there was a sanctuary dedicated to the nymph Furrina. It was rebuilt several times, successively in neo-renaissance and neo-gothic style. The square in front of the villa is richly decorated - there is a decorative fountain, a series of sculptures and a hedge.
