The church Gregory the Great (Chiesa di San Gregorio al Celio) in Rome was founded in the eighth century. It belongs to the monastery of Missionaries of Love. You can admire the historic 18th-century fresco by Placido Costanzi and the stucco of Francesco Ferrari.
The main altar is decorated with a picture of the Madonna in the company of St. Andrzej and Grzegorz, brush Antonio Balestra. In the side altar on the left is the work of Pompeo Batoni - "Madonna and Saints". St. Altar Gregory the Great was decorated with reliefs by Luigi Capponi, they were created at the end of the 15th century.
In the central chapel you can admire the fresco "Whipping St. Andrew '- the work of Giovanni Lanfranco. The design of today's church facade was created by Giovanni Battisa Soria at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s. The interior was designed by Francesco Ferrari in the first half of the 18th century.
