The church Franciszka a Ripa (Chiesa di San Francesco a Ripa) comes from the 11th century, at first it was a hospital church. One of the most valuable sacred monuments is a baroque sculpture depicting the mystic Ludwika Albertoni, whose author is Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini.
The sacristy has a 13th-century icon of Saint. Francis by Margaritone d'Arezzo. The facade is the work of Mattia de Rossi.
Noteworthy are also the frescoes of Emanuele da Como, a monument depicting Cardinal Michelangelo Ricci by Domenico Guidi, and a 17th-century altar created by Stefan Maria Legani.
The temple was dedicated to St. Francis, who, according to accounts, spent two nights here when he came to Rome to visit two popes: Innocent III and Honorius III.
