The Cistercian monastery complex was founded on January 22, 1135, as the home of the Clairvau family. It is one of the first examples of Gothic architecture in Italy. A 16th-century tower commissioned by Louis XII in France leads to the complex. It is worth paying attention to the buildings, sculptures, frescoes and other works of art that decorate the complex.
