Lavagna is a resort town on the Ligurian Coast. It has nice, sandy, though quite narrow beaches, a large yacht port and a well-preserved old town with narrow streets and picturesque buildings.
The city is one of the lesser-known resorts of the Italian Riviera, somewhat overshadowed by the more popular resorts. However, it has everything you need for a successful holiday. First of all, sandy, well-developed beaches with good dining and entertainment facilities, and a large port. Yachts and boats from all over the world moor here in summer. You can also rent a boat for a trip along the coast.
The historic center of Lavagna is centered around the large Piazza Marconi. There are restaurants in the arcades of tenement houses. One side of the square is taken by the colonnade of Porticato Brignardello, under which you can go to the nearby cathedral. One of the most important historical attractions of the lavagna is St. Stephen, whose origins date back to the 6th century.
