Historical Museum of Crete

The museum presents the history of Crete from the 4th century AD to World War II. The chronologically arranged collection gives a picture of the most important events and characters related to the island. Among the exhibits stand out two paintings by El Greco - the Baptism of Jesus and View of Mount Sinai and the spatial model of Crete from the time of Venetian rule.
