Sea Life in the Olympic Park in Munich is one of the eight centers of the marine life network in Germany. The aquarium depicts life in Isar and the Danube, in the Black and Mediterranean Seas and in tropical waters. It houses the largest shark farm in Germany with over 20 species.
This aquarium was opened in April 2006. Over 33 sea creatures representing 150 species have been gathered in over 33 pools. 15 themed underwater worlds were organized on the premises.
An extensive tropical pool was created on the territory of the aquarium, which is the most important attraction of this complex. Visitors can learn about the conditions in the sea basins by using the tunnel that leads through this pool. The ten-meter underwater tunnel was made of acrylic glass.
