Ebbelwei Express Frankfurt
Local name: Ebbelwei Express Frankfurt
The colorful Ebbelwei Express is a historic tram, which since 1977 offers rides surrounded by Frankfurt's greatest monuments and attractions. In comfortable conditions and amongst the bustle of conversations you can reach from the zoo to the main station, from the Imperial Cathedral to the Jewish cemetery, or simply spend a nice time with friends.
This original tram line runs on weekends and holidays as part of a regular transport network. It is used by both tourists and residents, because it is an ideal place for social gatherings. The entire route has 23 stops and its return trip takes an hour.
As part of the ticket, passengers receive a choice of one of three drinks: the local Ebbelwei cider, from which the vehicle name comes, apple juice, or mineral water and a packet of pretzels. This is not a traditional trip, therefore there is no live commentary.
