Dialog Museum
Local name: Dialog Museum
The Dialogue Museum was opened in 2005, and its creation is closely connected with the history and development of the 'Dialogue in the Dark' exhibition. In six completely darkened rooms, visitors experience the world from the perspective of the blind. A walk in the park or a visit to the bar is a completely new experience when you can only rely on the other four senses.
The Dialogue Museum is a private social enterprise whose main goal is to provide people with particular disabilities with opportunities on the labor market. Over 70% of employees are disabled people.
The 'Dialogue in the Dark' exhibition is based on an idea developed in 1988 by prof. Dr. Andreas Heinecke. His concept of role reversal is an inspiration to create many such exhibitions around the world.
