Commerzbank-Arena is the stadium of the Eintracht Frankfurt football team. Until 2005, the facility functioned as Waldstadion, but as a result of a sponsorship agreement with the German bank Commerzbank AG the name was changed. In addition to a full-size football field, the stadium has a swimming pool, tennis court and winter sports hall. The property has a characteristic sliding roof.
The stadium was opened in 1925 and has been modernized several times since then. The last reconstruction was aimed at preparing the facility for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. removing athletics infrastructure and an artificial ice rink. Currently, the stadium's capacity is over 50,000 spectators.
The inscription 'Commerzbank-Arena' on the roof of the building is one of the largest neon lights in the world. His letters reach the size of the famous 'Hollywood' sign.
