Eisenach is a city with a long history, associated with the big names of German politics and culture. One of them is Marcin Luther, who was hiding in the local Wartburg Castle, while the other is one of the greatest composers of all time, Jan Sebastian Bach.

The city of Eisenach developed in the Middle Ages at the foot of the Wartburg Castle founded in the 11th century. Today, the huge fortress, visible from afar, is inscribed on the UNESCO list, and inside it is the Wartburg Museum.
