St. catholic church Boniface was built in the early twentieth century in the neo-Gothic style. The author of the project was Max Hasak. The facade of the church has been integrated into the facade of the street, and the building itself is located in the frontage of residential buildings. The interior of the temple is decorated with original 20th century organs and a modern Fred Thieler altar. A rarity for visitors are works created by Paul Brandenburg: the pulpit, decorated tabernacle and hanging cross.
The church was completely burnt down during World War II. Most of the paintings, decorative furniture and richly decorated stained glass windows were lost. The current interior design is the result of a renovation completed in 1969.
The initiator of the building of the church was the then priest of Schlenke. Within a few years, he raised sufficient funds to start construction. The church also owns a housing estate nearby, and the rental income secures part of the costs of maintaining the temple.
