Berlinische Galerie, or the State Museum of Modern Art, Photography and Architecture is a gallery of contemporary art and a museum that collects the latest Berlin art (works about the city or created here). It has an extensive collection of dadaist and avant-garde works, a trend of new objectivity, art from Berlin united and divided.
Berlinische Galerie has been operating in its new headquarters since 2014. On an area of about 5,000 meters, an exhibition from the permanent collection (a selection of the best works, from the end of the 19th century to the present) and temporary exhibitions presenting the latest trends in contemporary art and its best known representatives are presented.
The museum has its own library, study room, auditorium, cafe and museum store. The facility's offer includes film screenings, lectures, concerts and a wide range of educational activities, including an art school for children and adults.
