Polis is a small, luxurious seaside resort located in the northwest of Cyprus. The beaches here are among the most beautiful on the island, and the Arnautis Peninsula in the vicinity is famous for its magnificent views and small, charming coves.
The resort developed from a small fishing village at the end of the 20th century and today there are mainly hotels, guesthouses as well as restaurants and bars. This place is considered luxurious and quite expensive by Cypriot standards, and the local beaches are considered the cleanest and most beautiful on the island.
For many tourists, Polis is not only a place to relax by the sea, but also a great base to explore the area. From here you can organize trips to the historic city of Paphos and to the protected Arnautis Peninsula. Off the coast, goddess Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam.
A big attraction of the area is the so-called Aphrodite's Bath, which is a small pond surrounded by lush vegetation, into which a small, murmuring stream flows down the limestone rocks. There is also Fontana Amorosa, the source in which the god of love Eros was to have his arrows.
