The Castle Theater in Vienna is considered the second oldest theater in the continent (just after the French Comedy Francaise) and the largest dramatic theater in Europe. The theater was originally created during the reign of Maria Teresa, but since then it has been destroyed several times, including by bombing.
Theatrical performances take place there cyclically, many of which win awards at international competitions and galas. It is both classical and contemporary repertoire.
Its current appearance has been perfectly reproduced and it is extremely difficult to recognize rebuilt places, from the original elements of the building. The whole is maintained in the style of an ornate Italian Renaissance.
