Lithuania is a small country with a very large but not fully used tourist potential. It can offer tourists many interesting sights, as well as unspoiled nature and opportunities for active tourism.

The country's largest tourist center is the capital, Vilnius. The city is known for valuable monuments, among which the Gediminas Tower, a classicist cathedral with crypts, in which the creators of culture rest, the church of St. Anne built in the style of flaming Gothic or Baroque, richly decorated church of St. Piotr and Paweł in Antokol. Tourists also visit the bohemian district, Zarzecze, and crowds of pilgrims come to the Gate of Dawn to pray in front of the local image of the Mother of God.

The second largest city of Lithuania is the former capital, that is Kaunas. A nice Old Town with town hall and tenements from different eras has been preserved here. On the outskirts of the city, on Pożajście, above the artificial Kaunas Reservoir stands one of the most beautiful barge monastery complexes in Lithuania.

A place that attracts many tourists is also Trakai, where you can see the Gothic castle standing on the island. It can be reached by a bridge or by boat. Trakai itself also attracts souvenirs of Karaites, including their temple, kenesa and their kitchen, where kibin reigns.

Lithuania has quite a large stretch of the Baltic coast, the most famous part of which is the Curonian Spit, which is on the UNESCO list. The local resorts with wooden, pre-war buildings, the most beautiful and famous of which is Nerynga, come to life mainly in summer. Beautiful beaches can also be found around Klaipeda.
