The Dark Hedges

Dark Hedges is a beech avenue along the Bregagh Road between Armoy and Stranocum. The alley dates back to 1775 when James Stuart built a mansion nearby known as Gracehill House and ordered to plant 150 trees along the road that led to it. Buki are currently forming a climate tunnel, used inter alia in the series "Game of Thrones", where she played the role of King's Road.

According to legend, the avenue is haunted by a ghost known as the Gray Lady who wanders from tree to tree along the entire road. According to one version, it is the spirit of the daughter of James Stuart, who died in mysterious circumstances, called Cross Peggy or her maid. Another version says that it is the spirit of one of the people buried in a nearby abandoned cemetery.
