Titanic Belfast

Titanic Belfast the world's largest museum dedicated to Titanic, also constituting a monument commemorating the city's maritime heritage. It is located on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard, where RMS Titanic was built. There are 9 interactive galleries that present, among others history of the city in the 20th century and the history of the ship itself. You can also go for a ride around the reconstructed shipyard, where there is a huge replica of the Titanic rudder.

Other exhibitions also show replicas of lifeboats and how Titanic's history was used in pop culture. The largest gallery is devoted to the shipwreck and expeditions aimed at its exploration. You can see film materials and photos, and also - through a fisheye lens - see the bottom of the ocean, where the wreck lies.

In front of the building there is a sculpture "Titanic" by Rowan Gillespie. Made of bronze and set on a brass base, it refers to the shape of figures mounted on ships.
