Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is part of the Navy base, open to the public and managed by the National Museum of the Royal Navy. There are exhibitions presenting collections related to the Navy and sailing, including original sails from the time of the Battle of Trafalgar from 1805. You can also visit the Mary Rose Museum dedicated to the navy of the Tudor times. There are also ships available for sightseeing, such as HMS Warrior or HMS Victory.
In individual hangars there are, among others cafe, souvenir shops, as well as Action Center, offering naval simulations and a laser arena. The other houses the other exhibitions and demonstrations of building traditional boats are organized.
Cultural events are also organized at Historic Dockyard. Beginning in 2000, the Victorian Festival of Christmas is regularly organized, during which you can try Victorian dishes and meet historical figures.
