Marwell Zoo
Marwell Zoo is a Hampshire zoo. Over 1,200 animals from 135 species live here. An additional attraction for families with children is five playgrounds, food kiosks and picnic areas. There is also a queue around part of the zoo area known as the Marwell Zoo Railway. The track is about 1 km long and is served by two stations: Treetops Junction and Park End Halt.
The zoo has several extensive runs for animals. Among them are "Heart of Africa" with forest buffalo and bongo, as well as "Into Africa", where you can find giraffes, monkeys and antelopes. "Roof of the World" is inhabited by snow leopards and owls. The "world of lemurs", in turn, has the form of a glass corridor, which allows you to enjoy their company longer. In the "Australian Bush Walk" you can see kangaroos and hornbills, and in "Penguin Cove" about 30 penguins.
The zoo undertakes a number of educational and conservation activities, with particular emphasis on the protection of African species.
