National Motor Museum
National Automobile Museum located in the small town of Beaulieu. We will find here not only a collection of about 250 vehicles manufactured since the end of the 19th century, but also books on motorization, photos, magazines and films.
The museum was founded in 1952 by Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu, the third baron of Montagu of Baulieu, with a dedication to his father - a pioneer of motoring in Great Britain. At the beginning there were barely five cars here, but already at that time the museum was popular - so the collection became larger and larger, attracting more and more tourists. The museum was then moved from the family estate to a building specially designed by Leonard Manasseh.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, the Baulieu museum offers thematic exhibitions: for example, in 2017 we could find a collection of James Bond vehicles here. There will also be other attractions: a veteran bus ride, a playground for the youngest or delicious food in the museum restaurant.
