Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and the Royal Martyrs
Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and the Royal Martyrs, or the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God and Tsarist Martyrs, was built in 1999. In the following years, it was expanded and finished: in 2009, a richly gilded, three-row iconostasis was installed inside 2015, the walls and vaults of the temple were covered with frescoes.
There is a Sunday school at the council, where children receive religious instruction, learn Russian, have classes in Russian literature and the basics of singing Orthodox church songs. Parish meetings, concerts and lectures are also organized in the social rooms next to the temple.
Saint Martyr Carscy is the term used for the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II Romanov and his wife Alexandra Fyodorovsky, son of Alexius and daughters of Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastazja, who were murdered by Lenin in 1918. In 2000, the whole family was recognized as saints of the Orthodox church.
