The Guards Museum
The Guards Museum is a military museum in central London at Buckingham Palace. The facility was opened in 1988. There we will find archives and exhibitions devoted to five infantry regiments of the Royal Guard, which is one of the most recognizable symbols of Great Britain.
Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards and Welsh Guards are regiments dedicated to the subject of the museum. They guard sovereign and royal palaces in Great Britain from the 17th century to the present day. Among the permanent and temporary exhibitions we will find objects such as the costumes of the guard and their evolution over the centuries, paintings, various specimens of weapons, sculptures and artifacts, whose task is to show visitors the history of the royal army and soldier's life. In addition, the museum organizes guided tours and historical lessons.
