Faraday Museum
The Faraday Museum is located in the building of the Royal Institution, a scientific and educational association whose main goal is to popularize science and conduct scientific research. The organization's headquarters are in the Mayfair district. Admission to the museum is free.
The Faraday Museum was founded in 1799, named after the eminent chemist and physicist Michael Faraday. He discovered the phenomenon of self-induction, built the first model of an electric motor, created the foundations of electrochemistry. The exhibition covers 3 floors of the building. A significant part of it is devoted to experiments and inventions that arose at the Royal Institution. You can also see Faraday's magnetic laboratory and take part in interactive games.
The museum also presents profiles of scientists associated with the Royal Institution for years. As many as 14 of them were Nobel Prize winners.
