London Olympic Stadium
The Olympic Stadium was built in 2007-2011 for the needs of the Olympic and Paralympic Games organized in London in 2012. The opening and closing ceremonies of the games and competitions in most athletics competitions were held there. The stadium's capacity at that time was 80,000. After reconstruction in 2016, it decreased to 60,000.
The stadium is part of the Olympic Park, which is currently named after Queen Elizabeth. Located in Stratford, on the River Lea. In addition to the stadium, there is a water sports center, VeloPark bicycle sports center, as well as AecelorMittal Orbit - a 115-meter observation tower, with a slide nearly 180 meters long.
The current tenant of the stadium is the West Ham football club. The stadium is above all a place where football, rugby, athletics and concerts take place.
