Cannizaro Park
Cannizaro Park is a public park located south of the open spaces of Wimbledon Common. The park is located in a small valley. Its layout and organization show its origin - it has all the characteristic features of a private park adjacent to a 19th-century residence. There is, among others, a so-called formal garden, a wooded area resembling a forest and decorative ponds. Sculptures can be seen here and there.
The park is a remnant of the gardens belonging to the estate in its center, called Warren House, in which the hotel is currently located. The residence was built in the 18th century. In 1817, she was hired by the Sicilian aristocrat, Francis Platamone. After fifteen years, the count left his wife and England, returning permanently to Italy, where he inherited the title of Count Cannizaro. The duchess remained in the residence until her death, then the property began to be called the name of her faithful husband.
