The Cartoon Museum
The Cartoon Museum for many years acted as an exhibition initiative of enthusiasts and creators of comics, and since 2006 it has received a permanent seat. The collection has thousands of original drawings and comic boards and nearly 10,000. magazines and books devoted to comics - mainly British and American. The museum regularly presents exhibitions and conducts comic workshops for children and adults.
The three main exhibitions of The Cartoon Museum are devoted to the presentation of original works of British cartoon and comic book creators - both classic and contemporary. The museum owns the works of outstanding Victorian cartoonists, such as John Leech, George Cruikshank and William Heath Robinson, who was famous for a series of drawings depicting extremely complex machines for achieving simple goals, e.g. a nutcracker composed of two cannons.
Cartoon Museum has a richly equipped store that offers hundreds of comic books, graphic novels, posters, individual drawings and trinkets associated with the comic.
