Im Grünen Park
Local name: Park im Grünen
The Im Grünen leisure and recreation park in Munich consists of three themed parts: a nature park with numerous ponds, green areas, woodland and barbecue; a cultural park that runs many educational and cultural activities, and a park for children with playgrounds.
The beginnings of Im Grünen Park date back to 1980, when the Grün 80 gardening exhibition took place. It gave the foundation for the nature park around which new attractions were created and the park was gradually developing. In the cultural park you can see, among others iron sculpture "Anvil" by Bernhard Luginbühl.
The park for children covers an area of about 1000 m2. Children's playgrounds consist of solid climbing fortifications, rope bridges, wooden huts, slides, swings, a mini golf course and a carousel. In addition, the Im Grünen expansion and leisure park includes restaurants, banquet and seminar rooms as well as the Wedding Photography Garden.
