Place du Bourg-de-Four

The square is located near the cathedral in the Old Town of Geneva. There are many cafes and terraces here. The square market has been very important since the ninth century. The oldest records say that the square was once the arena of a cattle market. At the square there were several medieval castles, which in time were demolished or replaced by other buildings.
