Old wooden church of the Lutheran denomination. The uniqueness of the object is due to its origin. It was built in Seglora in western Sweden in the years 1729-1730, and today we can admire it in the Artur Hazelius open-air museum. The temple is very popular among Stockholm's residents and not only - it has become a fashionable place for weddings, baptisms, services and concerts.
The eighteenth-century church served its function until 1903, when a new stone temple was built in Seglora, and the wooden building was no longer useful. Artur Hazelius was looking for a church for the first open-air museum in Sweden and the choice fell on an old wooden Lutheran church.
Inside you will find beautiful paintings by Sven Wernberg from 1735, the original altar from 1780 and a golden clock from 1861. The oldest building in Seglora kyrka is the pulpit made around 1700.
