Sant Antoni de Calonge is a modern, thriving resort on the Costa Brava. There are sandy beaches here, and in the oldest part a picturesque fishing port.
Until the mid-20th century, it was a small fishing town. Only the rapid development of tourism resulted in the construction of holiday hotels and apartments. They are located on the wide, sandy Sant Antoni Beach and Torre Valentina Beach.
Further away from the town center there are small coves with rocky and rocky, secluded beaches. They can be reached via walking paths, for example, the Torre Valentina Route - D'aro Beach. An interesting walk can also be a trip to the Torre Valentina viewpoint, from which you can see the main beach and the city panorama.
The town is situated at the mouth of a small river. To get through it you have to cross the footbridge Pont dels Ànecs. In the vicinity of the river, there is also the center of a former fishing village with traditional houses and a small port. An interesting monument is the stone Colomina Tower standing on the steep shore.
