The twentieth-century church of Our Lady of Mercy in Madrid is a Catholic church built in the eclectic style. Among the historic elements stand out facade and modernist stained glass. In one of the chapels there is an image of Our Lady of Mercy, with a set of sculptures from the first half of the 17th century.
The construction of the Church of Our Lady of Mercy lasted in the years 1914 - 1917. Its founder was the Marquis Hinojares, while the design and implementation was the responsibility of the architect Francisco García Nava. The temple was built on the site of an earlier church, cemetery and hospital, which were demolished at the end of the 19th century.
The building was seriously damaged during the Spanish Civil War. In 2003, renovation works were carried out on the building of the City of Madrid. On the facade of the church there is a viewpoint from which a panorama of the surrounding Madrid districts extends.
