Casa de Campo is the largest historic park in Madrid, its area is 1700 hectares. You can visit the amusement park (Parque de Atracciones de Madrid) and the zoo (Zoo Aquarium de Madrid), rent a boat and swim in the artificial lake, take advantage of one of the viewpoints, organize a picnic or enjoy local delicacies in the restaurant.
The lake at Casa de Campo with an area of over 80,000 m² is used for recreational purposes. A pier was built on it, you can do water sports and even fish. Around the lake there are sports areas: tennis courts, jogging track, bike path and swimming pool.
In the park you can also see some valuable monuments, e.g. the 18th-century Culebra Bridge and the Baroque palace. The IFEMA trade fair and the Teleférico de Madrid cable car are located here.
