In front of the CaixaForum building in Madrid you can see the largest vertical garden ever built in the world. It was designed by a Frenchman - Patrick Blanc. It is a green area of over 460 square meters. There are 250 species of plants planted in a special medium (without soil). The complex tube system provides them with water and the minerals they need to live.
The special garden is cared for with a boom. It is handled by a specially trained gardener equipped with a helmet and harness to work at heights. Equally interesting as the garden is the CaixaForum building itself - a century-old power plant, turned into a modern art center, which also houses a restaurant and a cafe. Thanks to the use of modern technology, the building itself looks as if it is floating in the air.
