The church Anna by the monastery of the Knight's Order of the Holy Sepulcher in Barcelona is a Romanesque building entered in the register of Spanish monuments. It is located in the oldest district of the city - Barri Gòtic. You can see the 16th-century tomb of the knight Miquel de Boer, the 14th-century Forgiveness chapel with a group of statues of "Santo Entierro" and paintings by Pere Pruna.
The construction of the church began in the 13th century, it lasted for three centuries, the project was created by Ramon Amadeu. The temple has undergone several changes over the centuries, modernization was necessary, among others after a fire that broke out during the Spanish Civil War in 1936.
Members of the Knights' Order of the Holy Sepulcher came to Jerusalem from these places. Thanks to donations from the faithful, the order quickly became the owner of many properties not only in Barcelona, but also throughout Catalonia.
