Rambla de Santa Mònica

Local name: Rambla de Santa Mònica

Rambla de Santa Monica is the section closest to the sea of the famous pedestrian street La Rambla. Its end is Column of Columbus rising above the entrance to the port. The promenade is planted with shady trees. There are many street souvenir stands here. You can often find "live sculptures", mimes or music bands here.

Until recently, Rambla de Santa Monica, as closest to the port, was famous primarily for brothels. At the beginning of the 21st century, however, the district was cleared of such shrines. The Principals theater began to operate here again. You can now meet many street artists on this episode of Rambli. There is also a gate leading to Barcelona China Town.
