The European Museum of Modern Art has been housed in a restored Renaissance building in the Old Town of Barcelona since 2011. His collection includes tens of thousands of works by 20th and 21st century artists. Painting, graphics, photography and sculpture are presented.
The museum is run by the Arts and Artists Foundation. His leitmotif is figurative art. Abstract works are not shown here. The permanent exhibition is divided into three parts: 21st century figurative art, 20th century Spanish sculpture and 20th century Catalan sculpture. In addition, temporary exhibitions are presented, which are mainly reviews of the work of a particular artist. At the Museum you can see the works of artists from around the world. On Fridays and Saturdays, there are blues concerts and contemporary classical music.
