The most famous fountain in Slovenia bears the name of its creator, which is Francesco Robba (1698-1757) - an Italian sculptor who spent most of his life in Ljubljana. The building erected in 1751 is officially called the Fountain of the Three Rivers (Ljubljanica, Sawa and Krka) and symbolically refers to the myth of the Argonauts who were to found the city of Ljubljana.
