National Museum of Contemporary History

The facility was established to collect testimonies and present 20th-century history of Slovenia. It has huge collections of weapons (from World War II and the Civil War in the Balkans), numismatic items, fabrics, postage stamps, maps and photographs. An interesting fact is the collection of gifts from heads of state and personal items that were donated to the museum by the former president of Slovenia, Milan Kučan.
